Coordination, the way we mean it, is the work of getting the right people, the right capital, and the right intent into the same room at the same time — and then getting out of the way.
It is not:
- Convening. Convening is the easy part. Coordination is what happens after the dinner.
- Networking. Networking optimizes the individual’s graph. Coordination optimizes the collective’s throughput.
- Community. Communities are an input to coordination, not a substitute for it.
A coordination layer becomes real when participants notice, in retrospect, that something would not have happened without it — and they could not point to a single intervention that caused the outcome. The work shows up as the absence of friction more than as the presence of a product.
That is the bar.
